How do you know what death is like if your brains, our brains, and our senses can't experience it because we're dead?

Actually, your senses live on. You see with spirit vision and remember taste, smell, and touch. Your emotions are very much intact and alive. The only parts of you that die are all the organic parts; the physical parts.
You are not your body. You are your mind.
Your mind is not your brain.
Your mind is the storage place for all of your thoughts, emotions, feelings, beliefs, ideas and memories. It is where you store the thoughts of what you look like and who you think you are. It is where “You” live.
You live on because you are mind, you are not physical. You are a thinking machine and you continue to think, remember and imagine, just as you did in physical life, only you do it without a body.
You never needed your body to do it in the first place. Your body only served to feed you the sense of touch, taste, smell and sight so you would learn these senses and take them with you in order to utilize them in the after life.
You are still conscious and still self-aware and you can still communicate to conscious humans on earth if you choose.
And while you are in flesh, you can contact the conscious beings who are now in the after life if you choose.
You do not have to be separated from your loved ones unless it is your choice to end all communication with them.
From those who have died, we can learn what happens after death. It is the only way to know what happens after death.
But should you choose to explore this, do so judiciously and respectfully. Be mindful that those who have passed on from the physical plane to the spiritual, just might not wish to be contacted.
Politeness goes along way. “Please speak with me and thank you for speaking with me.”
Aim for the best communication and do not intend to make fun, tease, harass or play games.
Do not seek what is hateful, mean spirited or spiteful.
Do not seek to do harm or to engage with those who might have their own sinister intentions.
Remember that human spirits bear the same proclivities that they did in life.
If they were benevolent in life they will be benevolent in death.
But those who were malicious in life are still malicious in death.
Make certain you know the spirit you wish to contact and do not seek to disturb the peace for many are not at peace nor are they peaceful.
