I am sorry to report that I don’t believe you can. If you are psychic (and you obviously are if you see ghosts) you will continue to see ghosts. I think what you need is a way to handle the gift that you possess especially if you have no interest in pursuing it. Seeing ghosts can be frightening, but it can also be a challenge because it will push you to the limit of reality (what you thought was reality, before you started seeing ghosts.) Ghosts  are  spirits. Those that are attached to the things of the earth (including attachments to living things) are called ghosts because they remain here, on the earth. Some people are open to receive consciousness from the larger plane of consciousness. Unless you have experienced being released from the body, you might not understand what I am about to say, but, for me, I feel as if I am “contained” in a body. I am literally suffocated as if I were in a box with a lid on it. When I was released from my body after a traumatic accident, I was vast, spatial and free. There was no weight on me and no lid. We are not the sum of our bodies. We are not physical at all. We are mental creatures and our purpose is to gather information. This is why we think. We gather thoughts, we think thoughts, we read other people’s thoughts in books and newspapers and magazines, text messages and on the Internet. We hear other people’s thoughts. Ghosts are the informational remains of the people they were in life. They retain all the information they held in life. The only thing they do not have is physical form. Without physical form, they can pass through objects. Only matter would bump into matter. Spirit would pass through because spirit is energy and there is energy in all objects so the spirit is just meeting his energy to the energy in the object he is passing through. They can touch people because they are conscious. They remember what it was to touch. You are conscious and still have a flesh body. The spirit communicates to you through your mind and he sends you his impression of his touch. You feel his touch as if he were flesh. Why wouldn’t you? He remembers touching when he was flesh. The fact that you feel the impression he is sending, is a sign of how powerful his mind is as a spirit. It is also a sign of how powerful your mind is and will be once you are released from your flesh.

If a dead person’s soul is not at peace then they (the dead person) took a lot of emotional baggage with them when they died. Baggage is the result of attachments to the physical plane and physical existence. Some people do not want to leave loved ones, some do not want to leave their possessions and some just do not want to leave period. Aside from these normal scenarios, there is also the person who carries a grudge and wants satisfaction or revenge. This would also create a tumultuous state after death. Some dead people mourn their death because they are so unhappy their lives are over. Death is inevitable. Unhappiness over it is completely avoidable. Do the work while your alive and make peace with the natural process of the life cycle. There is a time for everything under the sun, including rest after existence. Prepare for it mindfully and you will be relieved to leave.

Yes. We are only the sum or our information which is held together by our conscious energy field. The flesh body is only the vessel we use while we are on the earth. What we call a ghost is the informational remains of a human being which is comprised of their recorded image, memories and information. This information is run by the “I” who gathered it during their lifetime; the person’s identity. The identity of the information still controls its information and it chooses what it wants to do and where it wants to go. Make them aware you know they are there by speaking with them. Introduce yourself. To them, you are an intruder in their home so let them get to know you. Be willing to share space with them and keep communication flowing. Understand that they may not respond in human ways because they no longer have physical bodies. They also may not be sure how to communicate with you. They may misplace objects that you own. Understand this is not necessarily because they have negative intentions, but because they now have the gift of telekinesis and this may fascinate them. Be patient and explain everything to them like a caring friend. Treat them as if they were a guest in your home and act like a guest in their home.

If you want to be precise, you are a swarm of electrically charged conscious particles that make up a blueprint of your information. The owner of the blueprint; the “YOU” in the equation, or the “I” individually decides what it’s purpose is.
