Why are conscious experiences correlated with brain activity?
The mind and brain
communicate with each other through the pathways in the brain. However, the
brain is not needed for communication. Spirits communicate quite well and they
are without their brains.
Consciousness does not
depend on the brain, but the brain depends on consciousness.
The information that
the body receives (touch, taste, smell, sight) is transmitted through the eyes,
nose, mouth, hands and body to the brain but the recordings of the
transmissions are kept in the mind.
The mind is the
storage container of all of our mental activity: thinking, reasoning, decision
making, imagining, dreaming, forming opinions and beliefs and recording our
memories.
We are actually our
minds, not our bodies. Our bodies are only the sensory vessels that we occupy in
order to learn what it is to be fully dimensional beings.
You see, all
dimensions converge on the physical plane.
Life is the result of
layers of information piled one on top of the other in a web. The web of
consciousness which is the web of thought, the web of images (sight) the web of
touch, the web of scent, the web of sounds the web of feelings and emotions,
the web of logic and reasoning.
Through the body we
learn to be multi dimensional beings and our knowledge of being
multi-dimensional is stored in our minds (our true form) and when the body dies
we are released to the conscious universe that contains all the layers of
information.
Once there, our
information gradually separates from us to join the layer that it corresponds
to, while we are free to continue to think, imagine and consciously interact as
we did on earth.
The only difference is
that our new life is purely mental. The physical will be a memory.
But our experience
will also now be heightened because of the loss of gravity, so we will feel
more alive then we did in the flesh.
